Why Green?

WhyGreenMy body LOVES green. Green juice. Green smoothies. Big giant-over-sized green salads. But why green? Why does my body love green SO much? Why would your body love green so much too? It’s chlorophyll!  Chlorophyll is the naturally occurring molecule in plants which gives them their gorgeous, vibrant color. Often referred to as “plant blood,” the structure of chlorophyll mirrors the molecular structure of hemoglobin in human blood (hemoglobin = a protein responsible for carrying oxygen in our blood). One difference between the molecular structure of chlorophyll and the molecular structure of  hemoglobin is that chlorophyll has magnesium in the center of the molecule and hemoglobin has iron. Another important difference is chlorophyll continuously produces energy, glucose, where hemoglobin does not naturally produce energy, it consumes it.  This IS why so many plant-based enthusiasts refer to green vegetables, green juices and green smoothies as their “life force energy.” Greens literally deliver life force energy – oxygen, sun energy & earth energy straight into into our body. You might still be saying, what does this really mean?

Chlorophyll heals our body.

Like an IV that delivers healing treatments right into the blood stream, chlorophyll delivers vital “life force” energy straight into our blood, carrying with it oxygen, neutralizing free radicals and a continuous stream of energy.
